Warm Spiced Wine

Ingredients:
(Serves 2-4)
1 orange
1 apple
2 cinnamon sticks
3 cloves
3 cardamom pods
4 peppercorns
½ cup sugar
1 bottle of red wine
Method:
Cut the orange and apple into thin round slices.
In a medium sized saucepan, add the fruit slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom pods, peppercorns, sugar, and wine.
Gently stir through.
Slowly increase the heat to 70°C (158°F).
Allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and strain the wine.
Serve immediately.
