Coated Pepper Steak with Creamy Mash Recipe by Nadine Lloyd

Ingredients:

(Serves 4)

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain flour

  • 3 teaspoon coriander – ground

  • 2 teaspoons beef seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons cracked pepper


  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • 1kg (2.2lb) round steak

  • 3-4 cups grape-seed oil

  • Cracked pepper

Method:

In a deep flat bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.


In a medium-sized bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.


Cut the steaks into manageable-sized pieces.

Dip the steak into the egg mix, and then into the dry flour mixture.


Heat the oil in a medium-sized frying pan. (The oil must not be

too hot).

Shallow fry the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.

Remove and place on paper towel to rest.


Serve with a creamy mash and a freshly cut salad.

Add extra cracked pepper to taste.
